On Aug. 21, 2017, American skywatchers will be treated to a rare and spectacular celestial show - the first total solar eclipse visible from the continental United States in nearly four decades.

The "Great American Total Solar Eclipse" will darken skies all the way from Oregon to South Carolina, along a stretch of land about 70 miles (113 kilometers) wide. People who descend upon this "path of totality" for the big event are in for an unforgettable experience.-From the Space.com web site.

Zip Idaho is incredibly fortunate to lie within the "path of totality"

For exact details about the eclipse check out these web sites:

For the event Zip Idaho is going to offer 2 9am tours (10 people on each tour) The tours will be on a much slower pace than our normal tours to give participants ample time to view this incredible event. With your reservation you will be provided with a free campsite at the Zip Line property the night before (if desired) so you won't have to worry about what is sure to be gridlock on Highway 55 the morning of the event. you will also be provided special viewing glasses, drinks and snacks.

The price for this once in a lifetime opportunity will be $150 per person.

Seats are limited so reserve your spots early!

Viewing only options will likely be available as well (without the zip line tour)

We are still fine tuning our plans for the day so check back for updates.

We may have a Helicopter shuttle available to avoid the traffic!
